Key to be happy? Be positive
Published by Avijit Paul October 31st, 2007 in misc.Being positve in life will bring much desired success and happiness. Here is a story :
“When Lim Goh Tong, founder of Genting, had a problem of getting land of Genting from Selangor govt, at that time he already got the land from Pahang govt, the govt of Selangor were only willing to give it to Lim Goh Tong by 99 years lease. So,Lim Goh Tong wanted to meet the Selangor minister that time although he knew his chance was very low and slim, his senior officer also advised him it will be a waste to meet the minister but Lim Goh Tong only said “Dont worry, just follow me to the meeting”.
As expected the minister didnt want to grant his wish but he explained to the minister that genting will need 50-60 years to be fully developed and 20-30 years to gain profit and by the time 99 years finished, all the hardwork will be given back to govt and if he could not get the selangor land,he had to build genting on pahang side only which will give more benefit to pahang which currently have cameroon and fraser hill and would leave selangor behind in the tourism industry. So, the minister was convinced and awarded the freehold to Lim Goh Tong. ”
This story is devoted to the great Entrepreneur Lim Goh Tong who passed away last week (oct 23rd, 2007). When he came to Malaysia at the age of 8 he only had RM 2 in his pocket. When he died he was the 3rd richest man of Malaysia.

An encouragement post from you.
Being positive is the main key to do anything.
I hate to say this but “being positive” enough, I’m afraid.
Perhaps it is also important be “be persistent” because if we are persistent enough, things will eventually work the way we want them to..
@ Keeyit: Thank you. It has been long you wrote something here. Glad to see you back
@ Pelf : I couldn’t have agreed more. Yes, Persistence is surely the key. (and it is not easy to be persistence and being negative - well, that would be nagging haha)
I assume you have to be really positive to not see that deep hole and
I assume you have to be even more positive to get out of that hole.
But then again, if you were a bit more pessimistic you would probably see the hole coming.
There is this saying, “the one that falls deeper rises higher”
it doesn’t mean that u are a pessimist if u see the hole coming (where did this hole come from anyways???), by seeing the hole coming u can avoid falling into it, ain’t it right?
being positive is one thing..for me hardworking also can be included..rite!
peace!
