Gmail’s Evil Plan

Speaking about mail, yesterday gmail was pestering me about me exceeding my mail storage space.

early this year i reached 99% and my mail would not send out because gmail told me i hate to clear some of my ‘junk’ :( had to delete many of my mails in send mail, manage to clear it down to about 70%. Then two days ago gmail again pestered me about this.

Problem is that i used gmail for too many things, i can’t stop using it. Since it allows me to read from other pop accounts, it’s like my 6 in 1 mail box. I read all my mails from there, and their label functions sort’s them they way i like them :)

Few days ago their ‘lot’s of space’ was still at 2.8 when i was still thinking to try out the storage service, if you now it’s at 3gB i wondered how come suddenly got 200mb spike.

Below is a picture of my spanking new 10gb account.

Dude you mail usage is crazy, mine never even reached 10%, which makes me think maybe i should start using my mailbox for back up purposes haha

Have you read the licence agreement for G-mail? Why would you forward all your mail there? You do know that google owns all your email right? and not you?

Or mayby you could buy larger mailbox from Google? That’s possible, just ask from them.

    Wow.. that is great… :)

You should read what googlesystem said at Gmail’s Storage Increases, 6 GB in January 2008.

Gmail didn’t abandon the paid storage option, but you’ll get around 50% more storage for the same price: 10 GB for $20/year, 40 GB for $75/year, 150 GB for $250/year and 400 GB for $500/year. The paid storage will probably become more attractive when Google adds more services, like Google Docs, JotSpot or GDrive.

I think this will make u smile :)

Coxy: Gmail has label to separate my emails, it saves me time to glance thru all at once.

cbenc12: i paid $20, i didn’t know they were going to upgrade that quick :((

ikoko: :( thx for the lead, if i could have just waited a little more.

Well, i use the fwd option in gmail to move certain categories of mails to another gmail account again, if it is needed that gmail will resort and fwd to another gmail.. and although i read all the emails in one account, the storage is in 3-4 accounts. So i have always 10Gb of disposable space with gmail.. and its kinda a backup plan for u bernard in the future..
