Wordpress Founder blogs about our Merdeka Logo
Published by Avijit Paul August 30th, 2007 in News.All we wanted was to find another way to tell people around the globe about Merdeka and Malaysia, and if possible share with other Malaysian bloggers our logo as a way to tell the world about 31st August. And since we did it just two days before Merdeka, we send emails to fellow Malaysian bloggers who’s blog we read almost every day and who’s blog is probably read by lot others around the globe.
But what happened was just simply amazing. We were at the receiving end of overwhelming compliments for the Wordpress Merdeka logo. I received so many emails from people saying how proud they are to read this, to see this and some of them even blogged about it. And on top of all of that, It was fantastic and very exciting to see Matt posting a note in his blog about us. The founder of wordpress is writing about us and he thinks the logo was cool? It IS mind boggling. =D
And how can I forget the entries from bloggers like Lilian Chan, Gobala Krishnan, PapaJoneh and pelf-ism ? I read them always and it was fantastic to see them writing about my post. And how can I forget others who have linked me? Doink wrote in forum as well as her blog, Wayne Liew wished us happy merdeka in his blog, allbynose.com posted one of the images with a link to wordpress on Merdeka, I think therefore I am thought our banner was very pretty, the “donno baby” posted in her All the line blog about us along with her online money making entries, Mindless games of life posted the wordpress logos with the entry of the football team winning the Merdeka cup , SistemRahsia.com also had an entry on us in his blog. And besides them, there were many more posted the fan logo in their blog too. And should I forget those really-very-nice-comments and emails? Thank you folks. You all made our day at enveluv.
Oh by the way, did I tell you that I got a job offer too for this? hahaha. Kenny Sia emailed me telling that Ni Limits was looking for a blogmaster. Well, I had to say no because besides my day job as an Assistant Lecturer in MMU me and all my partners are working really hard for our startup company Enveluv (we are now looking for potential advertisers, and once we get some we will launch this free web to postal greeting card service. Do sign up in our front page to stay updated on our launching). But if anyone else is interested drop them an email.

No problem Avijit. You deserve all the praises for what you have done on this Merdeka Day Wordpress logo. I was brought to your page because of Matt. It was indeed a surprise for me to see Matt mentioned Malaysia in my WP dashboard. I am glad I clicked it.

Poor English? Hahaha. No way, thats a super A class English. And besides, i wouldnt want anyone to write Shakespeare to me anyway. =p Reading Shakespeare is WORK.
I am happy that Matt mentioned it in his blog. Our Google analytics showed that We had 700++ unique visitors came from his blog by afternoon from USA and Canada. So I hope these people got to know about Merdeka at least a little.

Actually it started with doing Holiday logo for Google. So, when I saw your one for Google India, I thought hey, lets do for Merdeka too. Thanks a lot Allan. You had been a great inspiration.
