5 tips and tricks for using Microsoft Word for business
Published by Avijit Paul August 19th, 2007 in Advice, Marketing.I use Microsoft products everyday. Starting from windows to office - just name it. But even though I use it everyday, I surely don’t utilise the full power of office. Here are some excellent tips by Kim Komando that I got from Microsoft website. What you get in this article is :
- Create and design your company’s letterhead, choosing from an array of free clip art from Microsoft.
Not so big deal if you are a designer. But might be good for someone who does not have access to photoshop. - Send the same letter to many people without addressing each separately.
I think this is a very useful tips for any small business owner - Add a watermark to a document so everyone knows that it is a draft.
- Keep an eye on changes that people are making to documents.
- Use a shortcut for many of your tasks.
Did you know that by pressing Alt+Ctrl+C you can get Copyright symbol ? At least I dint. A lot more useful business shortcuts are there.
Worth reading. By the way, I am not a Microsoft fan. Apple is too expensive and Linux is still a little complex for me. I know for technical people Microsoft of for Grandmas, but just like most people, I have no choice but to use it.
